Holly Valance, born on May 11, 1983 in Melbourne, Australia, studied at the Star of the Sea College. Holly’s entertainment career began with modeling, but when she was discovered in 1999, she was cast as Felicity “Flick” Scully in the long-running Australian TV drama “Neighbours.” After earning a Logie Award nomination for “Most Popular New Talent” in 2000 and eventually leaving the show in 2002, Holly Valance decided to pursue a music career.

Valance officially became a recording artist in 2002 when she released the single “Kiss Kiss,” a cover of the song by Turkish singer Tarkan. Her song ranked #1 at the UK Singles Charts and Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) charts from April to May 2002, which led to four ARIA Music Award nominations, including “Highest Selling Single,” “Best Female Artist,” “Best Pop Release,” and “Breakthrough Artist – Single.”

The next single “Down Boy” also received the same success as ‘Kiss Kiss,” reaching #3 in Australia and #2 in the UK. In October 12, 2002, Valance’s debut album entitled “Footprints” was released and reached #15 in Australia, while #9 in the UK. Holly won the “Breakthrough Artist” and “Best Single” at the 2003 Disney Channel Kids Awards.

In 2003, Holly Valance released her second album “State of Mind,” with the song of the same name ranking #14 in Australia and #8 in the UK. After parting with her manager and then-boyfriend Scott Michaelson and her label Warner, Valance decided to stop recording music, but came back to acting in 2004. This time, Holly went to the US and appeared on the hit TV shows “Entourage” and “CSI: Miami.”

In 2005, Valance guest-starred in “CSI: NY” and was featured on Har Mar Superstar’s “The Handler” album, singing for the songs “Body Request” and “Back the Camel Up.” The following year, Holly Valance took on a guest-starring role for another hit show “Prison Break,” where she portrayed Nika Volek until season 2. Also in 2006, Holly appeared on the comedy flick “Pledge This!” alongside debutante Paris Hilton and starred in the film adaptation of the video game “Dead or Alive.”

Holly Valance appeared in the TV series “Moonlight” and “Shark” in 2007. The following year, Valance had a TV gig on the CW series “Valentine” and had a role in the Liam Neeson film “Taken.” Holly has also lent her voice for the video game “Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising” as Belinda Snow and has been the face of 1800 Reverse and Schwarzkopf hair products.
